BAHA’I HOUSE OF WORSHIP
RELIGIOUS CENTER

FALL 2014, STUDIO I
PROJET DURATION: 6 WEEKS
SCOPE OF WORK: 5,000 SQFT
LOCATION: GUADALAJARA, MEXICO

Performed during my first studio in the department of interior architecture and design, this project set the stage for the proceeding years. I performed in-depth research of the Baha’i faith, including an interview with an individual who practices this religion. While there are only 7 existing Baha’i Houses of Worship around the world, the purpose of this design was to grow the Baha’i faith. Something unique to this faith is that every existing house of worship fit within the space/landscape and indigenous people/culture of the designated region. With this in mind, additional research was performed in regards to the architecture characteristic of Guadalajara, Mexico.
